I'm basically missing some velvet flares and a floppy felt hat from my life right now. This is why this outfit happened. It's a channelling of Jimi Hendrix, if he was a female and alive today then he maybe would wear this kind off get up. Probs not a punky David Bowie t shirt if anything he would be digging Mick Ronson. Who knows maybe he did. Anyway I'm so on a 60's/70s stylistic train right now and it's so nice to acknowledge your direction and go with it, it will change drastically once again and it will just seem like a hazy clothed dream.

TRAUMA
I've just come out the other side of a trauma. I had to go into a shopping centre, the land of nightmares. Where huge corporate companies sell their clone like looks to the entire nation while terrible electronically modified music pumps out all speakers and the temperature is controlled to be the complete opposite of whatever is actually happening outside. Forgive me for my Orwell style rant but I truly despise these places, I needed a wee so was forced to venture inside. Now you can see from my pic that it was a rather plain look today..... Trainers, TRAINERS that I bought from a charity shop mixed with homemade skirt and Bowie t shirt. A look that I consider almost dull, however during my visit of the prison they call a shopping mall people stared. Now they are the weird ones of you ask me.

Do you ever?
Do you ever get that thing that half way through the day you will just want to change your outfit, because now what you are wearing suddenly seems wrong, boring or really outdated? I think to avoid this my outfit seems rather simple, with a hint of 50's in this homemade dress and hand customised cardigan. I've been avoiding anything modern lately and switching between looks from different decades. But fuck it next time a get dressed it going to be layers, crazy prints (lots of them) make up and a ton of jewellery. I mean anyone that is of any interest stylistically often has big transformations, it's just that normally by the time they are famous they have come up with there best one so they end up sticking with it! I'm going to go clothes mad! Watch the space.....
A man who knows a lots about transformations.........

Bowie is... changing who you are.
I am rarely speechless, and anything I say about this
exhibition will not do it justice. It is not walking around a stuffy museum
hall looking at boring items behind glass. It was like seeing an art
installation, hints of being at a festival, with loads of information being fed
into your ears as well as your eyes. A sensory and creative treat.
It’s insane that one man has become so influential and
inspires so many creative’s every day, each one of his performance characters
showed us another facet of the man himself. He revolutionised music, by mixing
performance art with his strand of rock and roll. If you haven’t seen cracked actor, watch it, the
Ziggy Stardust documentary, watch it. If you do anything remotely creative he
is a multi-medium artist that you should be aware off. You don’t have to stick
to one thing, you don’t have to express just one side of who you are. Utilise
style, theatre, music, painting, everything and anything that inspires you. Who
do you want to be today?

You know when you get pissed off with an outfit because its not quite right? felt like that today, like a mega frumpy girl from the sixties haha, although my housemate just told me that this dress makes me look like a giant baby.............thanks.
