Sneak peak.

This is an image from part of the shoot I did yesterday! Boom, shame this is just a image ripped of my phone not even one of the proper ones! Look closely and you can see this is a veiled beanie! You know how much we love a hybrid here at It's Hideous I love It and if you want to bag one yourself then head on down to Snoopers Attic. Which is the shop for some serious fashspiration!

Bird and rose.

This is the most flesh you will EVER see me display, oh sari crop and altered 80's denim shorts in such lovely colours, you have made me get my body out some how?! I matched my glitter eye make up with my top, and then topped it all off with this crazy bird and rose headpiece I made yesterday, which is deffo erring on the side of mental. I don't care, wear what you love.

Want to be part of the style revoloution?

There is something happening in the world of fashion, people are beginning to get sick of creepy mass produced clothes........ companies churning out set sizes and pieces controlling what we wear. We are being brain washed by the high street into what apparently suits us at whatever, time they dictate.

However there is a underground movement happening, slowly people are beginning to want something more, its doesn't take money, having to be a certain size or even "style" all its takes is imagination.

In reaction to this three woman are starting a group, a group that captures the moment, wants to provide inspiration and keep striving forward in creative ways. Ways that make us satisfied and free thinking, not conned into thinking we need the latest look to look good.

Want be involved? Message us you looks, post them on fb and tag Its Hideous, I love it. What do you want us to write about, leave a comment after this post. And keep your eyes peeled for a new blog that's leading the revolution.

Its called-

Wear for art now. #itsnotalookitsalifestyle

I heart recycling.

I bloody love recycling, old magazines and knitting patterns slid into really grubby old plastic folders, sewn together, with zip added. So gorgeous, and you could fill them with anything you like, pictures of you and your mates, beads and buttons, dried flowers, or just leave them clear. Totally love sewing, in love with clear stuff, I heart my new clutch bag and purse! No go forth and make things!

Get your chintz out.

I bloody love Britishness, today I went to visit Preston Manor but my favourite bit was the gorgeous walled gardens, felt right at home in my own little secret garden fantasy. Check out my gorgeous chintzy kimono which I made this week. I ended up rocking it in a kind of seventies does thirties thing, which I am very much in love with, I am currently adoring a modernised thirties vibe which my kimonos fit right in with. I love the glamour of it, the femininity, darkness and of course the whole late Art Deco vibe.

In other news look what a lovely friend gave me, this vintage pom pom making kit from the seventies I believe, amazing, look out for some interesting results haha!

Bow wow wow!

This one of my latest designs, I mean who doesn't love an oversized bow? So many great style connotations too. Minnie Mouse, 80's pop stars, dolls, errrrrr that's all I can think of right now! But its an attractive shape and goes with so much, right now I'm rocking a relaxed 80's look.

You can see behind me my new range of hand customised sunglasses which I am launching outside Snoopers Paradise this coming Tuesday. So if you fancy coming along and joining in the fun, come hang out, stroke some pretty new stock, show me your latest craft projects or just wear a rocking outfit so I can street style snap it and blog all about you! Get Involved!

Yesterday was the lovely Alanna'a birthday, we had a surprise tea party, thought everyone needed to see a picture of all my yummy baking! I'm on the fruit today!

I am homemade!

I feel a little smug................. this entire outfit, top, skirt, headband and jacket are homemade! I have gone mad on kimono's lately. I'm making lots to sell, all in different vintage prints, mostly floral! ( if anyone is around I am trading outside Snoopers Paradise next tues. Come say hello and have a stroke of all my pretty things) Anyway been knocking up tons of them, this one is made out of a embroidered table cloth and was just too pretty to sell! There is nothing like the satisfaction of knowing that your homemade piece is 100% your garment, no one has one quite like it anywhere. Do not underestimate craft, it means we all are leading the revolution against this mass produced world.

Queen of Granny.

I am wearing the queen off all granny dresses today, and yes its to big for me, but who gives a dam, the print is gorgeous and styled with one of my very own pillbox hats it has enough of a 40's vibe for me to not care about the other bits.

Why do we buy into these stupid rules? That clothes are only meant to fit or hang a certain way, the way that where we buy them from dictates to us. Why are certain styles of clothes seen as so age specific, we assume because we have seen a more mature lady wearing something that that means that a young girl can't too. Why are most hats considered to be something that only crazy eccentric people wear and not part of mainstream fashion as they were 50 years ago. All silly bloody rules and I am for one are going to ignore them. Think of the endless possibility of styles, shapes, sizes, any look you want is possible!!! Go on challenge yourself!

Power to the Flower

I know, I know, they are the most traditional fucking accessory, but I adore them, can't get enough of flowers, they just make me happy OK??! This particular floral delight is a prototype hat I made a couple of days ago, I know that you will be excited to hear that they will be on sale soon haha. Now I will make this point yet again, I felt like an complete loon stepping out to work wearing this hat, but I persevered as it seemed like a bit of a dare to myself, but I so enjoyed wearing it, and its ridiculous element made me smile every time I looked it the mirror. So whatever the reason if YOU love it WEAR it. Apologies for these images! My photography is getting better, promise.
